Icarus Falling from Yusuf Sahilli is a new collaboration with the young Russian animator Gosha Loshadkin.
Gosha has collaborated with Yusuf on a video clip that uses Icarus Falls as an inspiration to examine things like consumption, accumulation and modern life. Icarus tries to live a healthier life, does yoga and tries to reach peace, but will he be able to resist the temptations of modern life?
The psychedelic folky rock vibe of Icarus Falls mixes with Gosha’s dreamy visuals.
The video shows the efforts of a normal person trying to find a path to meaning in a world full of diversions and set backs. Always striving to fly higher and higher.
Icarus Falls will be released on the 21st of June - the Northern Hemisphere’s longest day and World Yoga Day.
