Al Terego & the Hi Q's - One Last Tear Away From Home. Some of us may know a nano- version of that feeling: you come out of a dramatic, existential experience, like a survival after being lost for hours in the wilderness or ocean or after an involvement in a terrible car crash or event. You have just one wish, namely to get back to your old life, but this old life cannot be reinstated fully, despite the fact that all surround you, family and friends are here to support you and offer you back the old life. This is particularly true for all persons having wartime or catastrophic experiences, and who when returning to their safe and familiar home base, carry with them this unbearable and tormenting feeling that, despite of how much everybody attempts with all efforts to comfort you, the home will never be the same, not because home has changed, but because you have, as you carry with you all the unbearable and immense burden of your memories, traumata and experiences that keep haunting you, even – and sometimes even more so – when back home.
